IPC bins or the integrated process bins are special types of containers used in the handling of special chemical powders, dusts and granular materials mainly in the pharmaceutical industries. This process is done to create a dust free operation and ensure no human contamination occurs. There is total control of containment, and cross contamination is not possible.

The IBC bins are rigid type containers that have a combined pallet that is used in storing solid, liquid, and other substances.

IPC (In-Process Container) or IBC Bin capacities vary significantly based on the manufacturer and specific application, ranging from 50 Liters up to 2,500 Liters or even higher, though some suppliers offer custom sizing. Common capacities include 50 L, 100 L, 250 L, 400 L, 500 L, 600 L, 800 L, 1000 L, 1200 L, and 1500 L, with weight-based capacities also available, such as 10 to 300 kg for conical bins.
